We are now looking for a Lead Chemist with strong expertise in flame-retardant wood coatings to join our R&D team and help scale Treet globally. This is a key role for someone who can bridge lab formulation, customer application and production scale-up. You will strengthen the robustness of our current solutions, support demanding customer and flagship projects, and contribute to the development of next-generation flame-retardant technologies.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize flame-retardant wood coating formulations
• Lead and execute lab testing related to performance, durability and application behaviour
• Toubleshoot formulation and application issues in customer environments
• Scale formulations from lab to pilot and production
• Support customer production trials and cross-functional collaboration
• Contribute to next-generation flame-retardant technology development
  
  

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of industrial coatings experience
• Strong hands-on formulation expertise
• Proven experience in flame-retardant wood coatings
• Experience scaling formulations from lab to pilot to production
• A commercially minded approach and ability to connect technical development with customer and business needs
• Hands-on, experimental and results-driven mindset
• Comfort working in an agile, growing company with low hierarchy
