The Future of Fire Protection: the CD PROJEKT RED building in Warsaw sets new safety standards in timber architecture
This project shows that it is possible to reconcile the aesthetics of timber architecture with uncompromising fire protection, through the use of innovative technologies and expert collaboration.
The impressive timber façade of the CD PROJEKT RED building was made from pine glulam elements produced by Andrewex Construction, a manufacturer of timber structures known for quality, precision, and commitment to sustainability. Recognizing the crucial importance of fire protection in contemporary timber architecture, Andrewex Construction partnered with Nordtreat. The goal was to ensure that the glulam elements would meet the stringent Euroclass B‑s1,d0 classification standards as well as PN‑B‑02867.
